Otto Lindig study at first from 1913 - 1915 under Henry van de Velde at the art school in Weimar; in 1920 he was a student of the Bauhaus-Meister Gerhard Marcks.
Together with Theodor Bogler he creates the most pottery design of the Bauhaus. The vase is a design from the 20ths and was made in the 20ths or early 30ths by Otto Lindig as a special gift for the „Freunde der Dornburger Keramik”.
