Ludwig Mies van der Rohe saw himself first and foremost as an architect. His Barcelona Chair, influenced by Schinkel’s scissor chair, is a timeless furniture classic. After Mies van der Rohe’s immigration to the U.S., the chair almost fell into oblivion, but thanks to the influence of Florence Knoll (who studied under Mies van der Rohe), it was decided that the chair would be reissued by Knoll. The children's version of the Barcelona chair was exhibited for the first time in 2007 at the Milan Furniture Fair. The standard version of the Barcelona chair with black leather seat cushions is also available at Markanto (Barcelona Stool available on request as well). Measurements: 60 x 61 x 63 cm Construction: flat spring steel, high-glossed, chrome-plated, Velluto leather in black Delivery: Within Germany free-of-charge, approx. 4 weeks |
