Eileen Gray, born in 1878, is considered a pioneer of the modern age. She was born in Ireland but also spent a large part of her life in France. Her work is attributed to Art Deco as well as modernity. This is due to the fact that she initially created classic furniture and oriental art, but in the 20’s went on to design some of the most important pieces of modern functionalism. Incidentally, in contrast to many other designers, Gray worked alone - most of her designs were only produced on a small scale and were often sold by her to the customers directly. The House E.1027, a total work of art, designed by Gray, became famous and contained some of her most significant designs.

The Aixia chair was designed by Gray in 1926 and was also used to furnish her apartment in Paris. All of her pieces are manufactured by ClassiCon under the license of Aram Designs Limited.

Construction: frame chrome-plated (with accompanying ClassiCon signature), feet solid wood, seat upholstered, covering leather classic in white, red or black (other colors on request)
