The quintessential design classic! In 1923, the then only 24-year-old Wilhelm Wagenfeld designed this famous lamp in the Bauhaus workshop in Weimar under the master Moholy-Nagy. Wagenfeld constructed the lamp to where the technically necessary parts of the device were design at the same time. Even the winding of this lamp was a part of the design. Conceived for mass production, it was produced by hand at the time. Back then, no one would have thought today’s success possible. The Tecnolumen company has been authorized by Prof. Wilhelm Wagenfeld to reissue the copyrighted Bauhaus-table lamps.
The famous lamps are available at Markanto in all four colors; the WA 24 construction is, incidentally, the original version (see the large illustration). The opal glass shade is identical in all four versions. Only the nickel-plated shaft and foot vary from model to model. Lightbulb: max 75 watts
