FontanaArte was founded in 1932 by Gio Ponti as a division of the Italian glass manufacturer Luigi Fontanas.
The artistic orientation was a key trait of the company. For example, Ponti determined the product politics until the end of the 40’s, and Gae Aulenti, among others, was later the art director. Numerous glass products by FontanaArte became classics; the displayed selection at Markanto is exemplary of the variety of the manufacturer (other products available on request).

The Pendant 0024, by Gio Ponti, is a design from 1931 and exhibits elements of the Art Deco style in Ponti’s early work.

Construction: glass panes made of transparent glass, middle diffuser made of frosted glass, metal elements brass, chrome-plated, diameter 53 cm, cable 210 cm, 2 x 36 watts fluorescents (2G11), dimmable electronic ballast included
