Antonio Gaudi was born in 1852 and was certainly the most well known and influential architect of Spain. His constructions and extraordinary architectural works were worldwide sensations. His holistic approach to architecture prompted Gaudi to concern himself with the furniture and decorative elements of his buildings. Although this was common among many architects of his time, no one else possessed such comprehensive technological and technical capabilities as Gaudi. He demonstrated these in his brass fittings such as the Calvet Door Handle, which he designed for the house of the same name. In collaboration with the architect David Ferrer, some of these fittings are being produced again, true to the originals, by Bd Barcelona.

Construction: Door handle made of smoothed and high gloss polished solid brass, with the imprint of Gaudi’s signature.
