Between 1905 and 1911, Hoffmann created the Stoclet palace in Brussels as a total work of art. Other than the sanatorium in Purkersdorf, the palace is his most significant work. Hoffmann not only created a unique piece of architecture, which would later be reflected in many Art Deco buildings (even in the empire state building), but also designed everything from the sculptures in the garden to the coffee spoons.

The interior design was carried out in collaboration with Gustav Klimt, a painter and founding member of the “Viennese Secession.” Various lights were also designed by Hoffmann for the Stoclet palace, among these this sealing light (other models on request). In all, the Stoclet palace represents one of Hoffmann’s artistic peaks—a harmonic combination of different styles of opulence, classicism, and straightness.
