Vitra
Strictly speaking, the Eames bird is, of course, no design classic. However, it is representative of the work of Charles and Ray Eames and was used again and again by them for decoration (for example, in the photo with the wire chairs). The bird, most likely an anonymous design from the year of 1910, originated in the mountainous region of the Appalachians in northeastern U.S.A and stayed in their house in California. The pair enriched their home with multiple objects that they had brought back from trips, for example, the African stool or other traditional pieces of art. In cooperation with the Eames family, Vitra has reissued the figure in a series.
