In terms of the design, the dismountable Moretta chair belongs to the classic safari chairs; similar designs came from Kaare Klimt or Wilhelm Kienzle. However, this piece had already been designed by 1917.
The Italian company Zanotta was founded in 1954. By the end of the 60’s, it had achieved an international breakthrough by means of the Italian designs of Radical Design. In addition to the contemporary artists of the time like Joe Colombo, Achille and Pier Castiglioni, Superstudio, Studio DDL or Marco Zanuso, Zanotta also presented Italian design classics of the 30’s and 40’s.
